MY EXPERIENCE WITH X
Seeing as we've already spoken of old to new with respect to Facebook, today we switch the roles
Introducing X, formally known as Twitter, and as one of the leading social media platforms to date

HISTORY
X was initially launched in 2006, under the name "Twitter" by Jack Dorsey, Biz Stone, Evan Williams and Noah Glass. It was designed as a microblogging service but became globally known as a news hub, conversational space and a social movement in general. With the increasing use of this platform by large brands and public figures, Elon Musk purchased the platform in 2022 for a whopping $44 Billion dollars, introducing "X" as the new brand name in July 2023
MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
As a younger social media user, I have been able to utilize X more than Facebook with respect to updates on sporting teams, social media influencers, and even important information on current world matters. It should also be noted that new is not necessarily better, as I actually enjoy the layout and accessibly of Facebook more than X. Both platforms have their own strengths and weaknesses, but seeing as X is our highlighted topic of this blog, here are some areas that I believe X outperforms Facebook in the social media space:
1. Real-Time News / Updates- X is usually the first platform where breaking news and important updates are shared, and outperforms Facebook due to its chronological feed and easy searchability when following stories
2. Simplicity- The concise format which X offers allows for users to communicate information briefly and directly, while Facebook is more focused on a generalized span of content options
3. Personal interaction- X provides an opportunity for better communication between public figures and their respective audiences directly. This makes it the preferred space for influential leaders or businesses to make an impression on their audiences and vice versa

BUSINESS POTENTIAL
X has proved its space is not only beneficial to celebrities or influential people, as businesses such as Wendy's, Nike and Tesla have all utilized X to their benefit. This can be seen through the use of humorous tweets, notifications of new products coming soon and even social campaigns to amplify brand presence and increase customer engagement. Check out this short compilation of a few humorous tweets posted by large businesses
OVERALL THOUGHTS
As seen, these are just a few of the various benefits that set X aside from their competition in the market. With the upper-class, lower-class and all between being afforded free access to this space, the possibilities and opportunities are endlessly growing
