MY FACEBOOK EXPERIENCE

When you think about social media, which main platforms come to mind?

Welcome to my first blog post, where I will share my views and experiences on the well renowned social media giant "Facebook".

My Personal Experience

I actually joined Facebook recently, as prior to working, I believed Facebook was "Just Instagram for old people." Being a 20-year-old hustler, I stumbled upon Facebook for its "Marketplace" feature, causing me to change my prior views and join the movement. As a result of this, I was able to utilize the various benefits that are offered to all businesses and entrepreneurs, no matter the size. Some of these benefits include:


1. Wide Reach - This direct access to millions of potential customers allows for growth in all business areas

2. Low-Cost Advertising - This is because product listing is free, and increased exposure can be achieved by paying to run ads

3. Ease of Use - This is done by their user-friendly layout, utilizing easily recognizable icons and instructions for use where necessary.

These benefits allowed me to sell old items that I no longer needed within only a few weeks of being posted. Exceptional turnover rates if you ask me!



Use Cases

Even though I personally only use this aspect of the space, Facebook is not limited to their marketplace. They can be seen to offer various use cases such as:

  • Sharing personal experiences
  • Posting educational videos
  • Networking
  • Marketing
  • Creating group chats

These are just a few of the endless opportunities you can leverage with the power of Facebook to enhance your desired experiences

Posts like vacation trips, new Halloween costume ideas or even your latest exam results are all welcomed in this multi-purpose space





Business Potential

If you're anything like me, you'd also be wrong to think that just because some people use Facebook to have a good time, it can't also be used as a powerful tool. Below you can find a short video of Facebook in action, with respect to marketing (In case it's hard to believe😉)





 
Overall Thoughts

All in all, it can be seen that Facebook is not only a space for the old and battered (I guess I was wrong 🙄), but also for the young and hardworking, and everyone in between. I thoroughly enjoyed this finding, and I do hope that you can benefit from the endless opportunities that this space has to offer.
